The First Self-Charging Electric Starter Kit? Inside the OXG Charging System
THE PROBLEM NO ONE SOLVED…UNTIL NOW
For years, electric starter kits have solved one problem…but created another. Yes push-button start makes riding easier. But behind the scenes, riders are still dealing with the same frustration:
Removing the battery. Charging it manually. Reinstalling it before the next ride. And that’s not all. Most aftermarket systems don’t allow additional electronics like lights or fans, simply because there is no real charging solution behind them. So the question becomes:
Why hasn’t anyone solved this properly? At OXGMOTO, we decided it was time to change that.
WHY TRADITIONAL STARTERS KITS FALL SHORT
Most electric starter kits on the market rely on a simple concept:
a battery powers the starter… and that’s it. No charging system. Some systems try to fix this by modifying the OEM stator. But this creates new problems like: reduced ignition performance at high RPM, Increased heat under load and many others...
In the end, the rider is still responsible for managing the battery manually. That’s not innovation. That’s a workaround.
HOW THE OXG SELF-CHARGING SYSTEM WORKS
The OXG Charging System is a fully independent, patent solution designed to eliminate the need for external battery charging. The concept is simple. The engineering behind it is not.
We integrate a magnetic ring directly onto the starter gear and position a precision coil within the cover. As the engine rotates, this system generates electrical energy, which is then converted and regulated through our high-efficiency, self-designed rectifier to charge the battery.
No external power source. No modification to the OEM stator. No compromise in performance.
While the principle may sound straightforward, the development required extensive engineering. The system was refined through over a year of testing, including advanced electromagnetic simulations using Ansys Maxwell and multiple real-world iterations of both the magnetic ring and coil design.
The result is a compact, efficient, and fully integrated charging solution, built specifically for the demands of motocross and enduro riding.

ENDURO VERSION, POWER AT ANY RPM
Designed specifically for hard enduro riding, where speed is low and engine RPM is often minimal. In extreme sections, the bike is frequently stalled, moving slowly, or even stationary. In these conditions, a reliable electric start is not optional, it’s essential. This version is engineered to generate charging power even at very low RPM. As a result, the battery remains consistently charged, even during prolonged low-speed riding and repeated restarts. In addition, this option provides sufficient power to support extra electrical components such as lighting or cooling fans.
MOTOCROSS VERSION, PERFORMANCE FIRST
Designed specifically for motocross, where high RPM, speed, and performance are the priority. Unlike hard enduro, motocross riding keeps the engine consistently in higher RPM ranges, with shorter sessions and maximum focus on weight and efficiency. This version is optimized to be lighter and activates only above 3000 RPM, charging the battery efficiently during normal riding conditions without interfering with engine performance. Once the battery is fully charged, the system switch in "sleep mode" meaning no unnecessary energy use, no parasitic drag, and no impact on power delivery.

CONCLUSION: THGE FUTURE OF ELECTRIC START
Electric starter kits were never the problem.
Incomplete systems were. With the OXG Charging System, that gap is finally closed.
No more external charging.
No more limitations.
